Principal Agent and the Founder of the Agency

Ghassan, or best known as Gus, is our principal agent and the founder of Zaibaq Insurance Agency. Gus started the agency back in 2008 by exclusively representing Farmers Insurance. A couple of years later, he converted it into an Independent Insurance Agency with extensive access to over 120 insurance companies. By taking this move, Gus transformed the agency’s business concept from being loyal and committed to the insurance company to becoming loyal and committed to his clients. As an independent agent, he is free to find his clients the right coverage that best fits their needs. For Gus, the policy is not a document to satisfy the mortgage company only, rather it should respond to the claim at the time of loss. 

Gus holds an MBA degree from the University of St. Thomas in Houston and is a member of the Independent Insurance Agents of Texas (IIAT). In the past, he has worked for different investment companies and banks where he focused on retirement & mutual funds, as well as business & investment development. With his extensive background, he is able to provide advice, assess risks, and write customized policies that best fit the insured’s needs. 

Gus is a family-oriented man and long-term Sugar Land resident. Both his sons attended Fort Bend ISD. In his free time, Gus enjoys traveling, exploring State and National Parks, spending quality time with his wife and 2 sons, and trying new foods. 

 

Lama Zaibaq

Lama Zaibaq

Lama holds an MA degree in English Literature from the University of Houston. She taught at Houston Community College for many years until she decided to join the family business to provide support for the growing agency. She got her Property and Casualty license in 2018 and now she’s in charge of internal management and support. She’s responsible for multiple tasks including internal auditing, account payables and agency licensing with insurance carriers. Lama is a familiar face in her neighborhood and community. She has volunteered extensively to support her sons throughout their time in school, as well as in other activities including Boy Scouts, swim team, baseball and marching band. In her free time, she enjoys running, reading a good book and spending time with the family.

Dali Fu

Dali Fu

Dali began her insurance career with Allstate in 2012 as a captive agency owner. She joined Zaibaq Insurance Agency in 2013 since she believed that she could offer customers more competitive products as an independent agent. She holds a Property and Casualty license, as well as Life and Health license. Dali is fluent in Chinese and is an active member in the Chinese community by volunteering in non-profit organizations. She also volunteers in local schools as web master and performs other various tasks.

Lesha Vaccaro

Lesha has over 25 years of experience working in the Management and Insurance Industry. Her goal is to always ensure that clients are receiving outstanding customer service from our Agency. Serving our team as the Office Admin and a Licensed Agent, you can think of her as the “smile behind the voice” when you call our office! Lesha is a native Houstonian. She studied Business Operations at the University of Houston and her previous professional experience was in Management related to the Senior Living Industry. She obtained her Property and Casualty Insurance License in 2020. She shares 3 grown children and 8 grandchildren with her husband, Tony.

Erika Gutierrez Hutt

Meet Erika, the newest member of our Team and our Customer Services Representative! She brings with her over a decade of experience in international companies such as KPMG, Intel Corporation and Citibank where she performed in budget and finance, consulting, management and business development. Erika holds a college degree in Business Administration plus an MBA with honors in Management, she is fluent in English-Spanish and German intermediate. With her positive energy, attention to detail and a passion to do things right, Erika is a perfect match for the insurance industry. Erika is happily married and a New Territory resident. Both her sons attend Fort Bend ISD.
